Prerequisites

• Access to a working credit card

• Sales tax figured out

This section will go over placing test orders. We encourage you to conduct multiple test orders using addresses from different states so that you can make sure the sales tax is being calculated accurately.

Optional - Creating a Discount Code 

If you do not want to pay the full amount for the test order, create a discount code. However, make sure the discount code does not cover the cost of the entire order so you can make sure the sales tax is being calculated accurately

Instructions on Creating Test Orders

Step 1 

Go to your Shopify store, add item(s) to your cart, and click on the Check Out button

Step 2 

Enter shipping information 

• If you created a discount code, it can be applied at this point

Step 3 

Enter payment information 

Step 4 

Make sure you are able to go through Shipping and Payment until you reach the Order Confirmation Page

Step 5

Check your email for the order confirmation email
