All inventory shipped to our Distribution Centers (DC) require specific labeling. Our labeling system allows us to efficiently manage inventory and fulfill orders in a timely manner.

Product Labeling Requirements

All products must be labeled with the following information:

  • A unique part number (both readable and barcoded)

  • UPC number (both readable and barcoded)

  • Name and/or description of the product

Product Label Location Requirements

  • All individual products/garments must have tags attached to the outside of the item so that it is visible through the poly bag

  • Sleeved tops and blouses should be tagged under the arm

  • Sleeveless clothing should be tagged at the waist

  • Dresses should be tagged at the waistline

  • Skirts, slacks, and trousers should be tagged at the hip/mid-thigh

Inner Carton Labeling Requirements

Inner cartons must be accurately labeled to include the following information:

  • Ship from - Your Company's name and postal address including the zip code

  • Ship to - the address of the DC assigned to you when you sign up for ShipGenius

    • This information can be found in ShipGenius in the Inventory Replenishment section

  • List of all PO numbers both in text and barcode

  • List of the SKUs and UPCs for all products in the carton in text, not as a barcode

  • Quantity of each SKU/UPC

  • Carton # - #__ out of total #__

Master Carton Labeling Requirements

Each of the inner cartons included in the master carton must have a label with a barcoded part number, barcoded quantity, and description of the products included.

  • Barcode format: 3 of 9 or 128

Each inner carton must be marked with box number sequence (e.g., box 1 of 100, 2 of 100, etc.)

Pallet Labeling Requirements

Each pallet must have a label that includes a barcoded product number, barcoded quantity, and description of the products on the pallet.

  • Barcode format: 3 of 9 or 128

If there are multiple pallets being delivered, each pallet must be marked in sequence (e.g., pallet 1 of 10, 2 of 10, etc.).

If products are serialized, a list of serial numbers, both human-readable and barcode, must be attached to each corresponding pallet.
