There are four different pack sizes that are used to ship inventory to ShipGenius' Distribution Centers.

Product

The individual unit of a line item

Inner Carton

The box that products are shipped in. They typically contain a certain number of the same product

Master Carton

A larger carton that contains a certain number of single cartons. The cartons may include 1 type of SKU or a mixture of SKUs

Pallet

A wooden portable frame that contains stacked master cartons. The standard size of a pallet is 48"x40"

Product

A single unit.

A product should only have one scannable barcode visible. All other barcodes should be covered.

Inner Carton

Each inner carton should include a single SKU.

In the case that a carton includes multiple SKUs, you must make sure all items are grouped by SKU and each SKU group is labeled properly. The SKU, UPC, and quantity should be listed on the purchase order (PO) and packing slip.

Master Carton

Master cartons should be designed and configured to weigh no more than 35 pounds.

Each inner carton should ideally contain only 1 If the inner cartons include multiple SKUs, please do your best to keep the same SKUs together. You also need to make sure each inner carton is labeled with the SKUs, UPCs, and quantities of the items they include. The PO and packing slip for the master carton should list all of the items' SKUs, UPCs, quantities, and identify which carton they are in.

Pallet

Any shipment with more than 10 cases must be shipped on a standard sized pallet in good condition.

All pallets must have a single PO. Pallets with multiple POs must be separated with a slip sheet.

  • All pallets must have a slip sheet between the bottom of the boxes and the pallet AND on top of the pallet

  • All pallets must be wrapped with pallet wrap - the wrap must cover the entire load including the pallet itself

  • Loaded pallets should be no higher than 54" off the floor (including the pallet) and no more than 2,000 pounds

  • Boxes should be stacked in an interlocked position with no hollow center

  • Strapping/banding must be easy to remove and should not be used under the pallet's floor contact points
